The subject of the ethics is the deeds and behaviours of man. Man was created as the most distinguished of all creatures, and have attained the quality of being the most excellent and superior of all living beings Animals also do the many behaviours that man does, but because they have no wisdom and will they also have no moral qualities. Although a lion or elephant have a power that man can not attain they are uninformed from goodness or badness.

 Man is the only living creature that knows the aim of his deeds, that distinguishes right from wrong, and sees. Which behaviours will be approved and which acts will be punished is man. So Muslim savants saw ethics as an inseparable part of the religion. Some of them considered religion as a tree and ethics as its fruits and flowers.

 Tree points should be stressed to understand the subject of ethics better. Firstly, man the one who has the power of doing good or bad deeds should be considered. Only the behaviours of the people who are reasonable and have free will can be regarded as good or bad. Secondly the thing that requires the goodness or badness of the behvaiour is to be examined. Good behaviours are the ones that are deserved praise and reward and which are suitable to the order of world. Bad behaviours are the things which are against the order of society and world which are regarded as crime and harmful to the development of the humanity. Thirdly the reward and punishmet of bad and good behaviors and responsibilities pertaining to conscience and legal ones are to be examined that they are known as the sanctions of ethics. In other words the people who do good deeds acquire merits, deserves in this world and in the next world, those who do badness commit sins and face with the punishment both in this world and in the other.

 Ethics show the basics and rules which are necessary for having man reached to the highest maturity relying on The Holy Quran and Sunna and wisdom; gives the needed information about the basic concepts like conscience , duty, responisibility, goodness, badness, virtue. It shows the way to protect soul from ilness and remedy for them.

 Besides it is seen that some customs and tradition change in time being relative to the development of societies. It is necessary to search the value and casues of them. If this is not done, man falters in the sea of ideas, loses his way. Ethics illuminates societies and man on those topics and shows the way. Ethics is closely related to the destiny, happiness of people. It is the knowledge of essennce of man and of him. (1)
