Ethics shows the necessery methods for man's protection himself from bad deeds and his acquiring good and nice behaviours, it purifies soul and turns the the badness to goodness.
Our Great religion gives great importance to ethics. The Holy Quran and hadiths draw our attention to this subject which has an important place for the development of individual and society. BothThe Holy Quran and Hadrat Prophet stressed the topics of belief, worship and ethics with great care. The Muslim savants showed the way to the next generations by producing numerous works on this subject. Our great religion Islam holds man responsible not only towards His Lord but also it requires him to have responsibility against all matters whether they are material or spiritual which may be of interest for man.
Just as a healthy body makes its owner dynamic, healhty families also makes the society strong and dynamic. This is very important in respect of having good morals of the individual that creates society. Social morals can be possible by having good morals of individuals. Having good manners of individual necessaites a dycipline and education that starts from childhood continue to youth and last to the end of the life of man
The things that are seen as beautiful by Islamic ethics are the acts that The Holy Quran commands people to perform. Again the things that Islamic ethics sees as bad are the acts that Quran askes people to avoid from. The principle of to order goodness and causing to avoid badness which is one of the main of the duties that Islam loads to people, shows us the importance that Islam gives to ethics.
“Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong; they are the ones to attain felicity”. (1)
“Ye are the best of peoples evolved for mankind enjoining what is right forbidding what is wrong and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith it were best for them; among them are some who have faith but most of them are perverted transgressors.” (2)

As the holy verses above metiones “to offer goodnes and causing to avoid badness” are among the basic duties of Muslims. The Holy Quran gives a great importance to performing good deeds.
Why Islam gave such a great importance to ethics and saw ethics as an inseperable part of religion, to answer this question completely it is necessary to examine properly the basic sources of Islam, Quran and Sunna. As ethics is an important element in the formation of the ties between man and society, it also has a determining quality in the relation of man with society. Becacuse all ethical commandments in Islam are the essentials of religion.
We see that how ethics have an important place in the hadiths of Hadrat Prophet:
“A good moral is the great ethics of Allah The Most High. (1)
“The most auspicious of you is the one who is the most beutiful in respect of morals. (2)
“The most matured of the believers in respect of faith is the one who act mildly and generously to his family by having the most beautiful moral qualities. (3)
“I was sent to complete good morals ”. (4)
It is clearly seen from the verses and hadiths above, Islam has given a great importance to ethics. Ethics and religion are one within the other. None of the other systems of thought has given importance to ethics up to the degree that Islam gives. Neither Christian thought, nor materialism, liberalism etc. Those systems of thought and similars which consider ethics independent from religion, can not free themselves from problems concerning the lives of individuals and society. Especially in modern times western world experiences a great moral corruption. The reason for it their leaving of the determining quality of religion by reason of ethics.
