“Hal”-state-
is to live a person in his own depth the breezes come from
beyond and to feel the differences take place in the horizon
of his heart, night and day, morning and evening. Those
who understand that as a sorrow or joy that surrounds one’s
heart without effort and striving defined the continuation
and stability of this happenings and feeling as “makam”-position-
and the decline and distinguish of it as “nefsanilik”-sensuality-
In this respect, we may say that “hal”
is a divine gift and the breezes of familiarity from the
hills of heart; “makam”-position- is to breathe
the man’s will and determination this gift and appropriate
it to his self, by this way his attaining to a second disposition.
“Hal” indicates the real source of everything
like acquisition of life, light and compassion, without
a veil and it reminds pure “tewhid”-to believe
the Oneness of Allah-. But “makam” puts what
it says in the misty smoky prism of exertion and effort
and it can’t reflect the truth clearly enough. Because
of that, to feel and perceive the inspirations come to heart
and in every moment to take a different right road, known
as “ hidden treasure” is assumed as a more appreciating
behavior , maybe because of the expression of those inspiration
according to our color in which there is also to express
ourselves.
For that reason Hadrat Muhammed-peace be upon him-
said on an occassion: “Allah doesn’t
pay attention to your bodies and shapes but He pays attention
to your hearts” reminding the important
point before Allah and wanted to direct towards the mirror
of manifestation by communicating the direction that will
be turned by crowd. In another narrative of which degree
of authenticity is lower, he mentioned deeds together with
hearts: “Allah pays attention to your hearts and deeds”,
this declaration is a courtesy to “makam/position”
for the sake of “hal”, which is attained by
continuation of “hal”.
“Hal”-state- is the inspirations comes
time to time in the moments which is seen proper by Absolute
Will, the space of spread for these inspirations is the
horizon of the heart and which hold them and pour them out
in a form is feeling and consciousness. In this respect
“makam/position” is considered as a rank which
reached stability of which waves are lowered, but “hal”
may be compared to package of waves of different sizes and
colors comes from sun which appear and disappear constantly,
being each appearance is different from the previous one
and in different squares in the net of ebb and flows dependent
on High arrangement.
The minds which are awakened by soul and spiritual
knowledge see the weavings of “hal” in the slopes
of the heart, feel them and reply by understanding and distinguishing
each of them as they see the reflection of sun on the bubbles
over the water. Those souls who can not make the balance
of their heart and left out of connection may suppose them
a fearing or illusion. But for the ones who look to the
existence with the Light of Truth these are very clear realities.
Our Prophet who is the person of the greatest state
-hal- considered deep his previous attainment in regard
to his later situation, May Allah ornament our hearts with
the light of this deep state. He declared: “I ask
for forgiveness of Allah seventy times a day”
Essentially in an endless journey directed towards
eternity, for a very clear heart which feels the need of
endless light and eternal buraq- the name of the horse which
carried The Prophet for his ascension-it is impossible to
think in another way. (1)
