PRUDENCE

 Arabic word “hazm” has the meaning of to give healthy decisions by considering carefully to realize a business, doing the work properly and to digest.

 The person who has the quality of “hazm” is named as “hazim”-prudent-.

 Sometimes the word “tedbir” -measure- is used as its synonymous. It is necessary for everyone to examine the aims and causes for the advance of the works of world in peace and properly and act with caution. All businesses have undesirable, dangerous and harmful sides regardless of job and rank. Because of that being cautious is necessary for everyone.

 The destiny and fate abandon the person who doesn’t show the necessary patient in a difficult job and who doesn’t think the end of the work, to the paw of the trouble.

 Savants have divided people into two groups concerning this ability:

1. Weak people.
2. Prudent and discreet ones who know their business and act with caution. This is also two groups:
I. Before the coming of a danger, to deepen the thoughts, to confirm the advice of “before the work to be done, think the end of it” taking the necessary measures by considering the end of the works in advance. Such people usually free themselves from the waves of trouble by confirming these measures.
II. Those who put forward the correct opinion and solutions when the calamity and trouble come without an astonishment and anxiety in their hearts.

 It’s not a clever behavior to attempt a business for someone who feels a danger in it. Intelligent people give up the work when they see a risk in it.

 To protect the things that one has, doing the good work of today without delay, to manage the people who are the antagonists of him in a way that not to cause harm for himself, are the aspects of being thoughtful. (1)
