STRUGGLE

It’s Arabic counterpart “mücadele” is a derivative of “jedel” and literally means mutual harsh dispute, argument, quarrel and fight in words.

The word “jedel” has the same meaning with the word “ jidal” - fight, contention. Jidel is divided into two parts:

 I. A struggle to support and reveal the Truth. This is allowed by religion. Because this is the method of the Prophets. In the Noble Quran it is said, addressing our Prophet:

“Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best who have strayed from His Path and who receive guidance.” (1)

The Noble Quran tells us that people of Noah said to him

“They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with if thou speakest the truth!" (2)

II. The struggle to support falsehood and cause it to dominate. This is prohibited. Because it is forbidden by a verse of the Noble Quran:

“He that works evil will not be requited but by the like thereof: and he that works a righteous deed whether man or woman and is a believer such will enter the Garden (of Bliss): therein will they have abundance without measure.” (3)

Believers should avoid arguments over the subjects like fate and destiny, they should surrender to the Will of Allah, instead it’s better for them to learn their duties and try to perform them.

It is tested for many times and attained certain results that to obtain the rights by kindness is more suitable than struggle, rivalry and competition. The struggle of the weaker people with the powerful ones is not appropriate at all. Because either the bottle is hit to the stone or the stone is hit to bottle, in both situation the broken will be the bottle.
